To get lights to the other side of my granite steps, I could run the wire from the outside transformer, through the wall into the basement, and then back outside to the other side of the steps.

If I run the wire through conduit when I pass through the wall, is this allowed by National Electrical Code?

    Thanks.

Hi, dinom. I can’t advise you on codes but if you show us a photo of your scenario or further describe the problem you’re trying to solve, perhaps someone here can offer some helpful advice.

Could you run the wire under ground in front of the steps?
I ran conduit line under my blue stone walkway in front of my stairs to bring line to the opposite side of the stairs. There is a video on you tube from bolt on how to do it.
    Good luck hope that helps.
