I am building a 12' x 12' covered pergola that has walls on 3 sides. I am planning to use the tommy dog down light. Which bulb wattage would be best? I am thinking the 3 Watt 110 degree flood and using 3 or 4 fixtures. I want to be able to have adequate light, but I don't want it to be bright.

If the bulbs I choose turn out to be too dim or too bright can they be exchanged?

    Thanks.

    Hey Jb,

I would agree that a 3W LED MR16 would be the most ideal choice for subtle but still noticeably beautiful light output. As far as how many fixtures, I would recommend either install 2 in opposite corners of the pergola or 4 (one in each corner).

We are happy to accept returns for items that are new-in-the-box for up to 30 days after purchase. Just to be safe, if you are really unsure about the bulbs, I would recommend only removing one bulb from the packaging and testing it out to see if the output is what you need.
