In place of the typical timer, is it possible to use a WeMo smart plug as the controller inside the transformer? From the Belkin site:
    GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
    • Electrical Ration: 120V~/15A/60Hz/1800W
From the Volt site on their Intermatic Astronomical timer:
    • 15 Amps, 1800 Watts Inductive
    • 500 Watts Tungsten
    • 125 Volts AC, 60 Hz
Is this telling me that their basically the same as far as handling electrical loads? Thank you.

Following.. would like to know this too. We need smart timers/plugs. We should be able to control our lights with an app on our phone, just like everything else. Irrigation has that feature already.

The specs look the same, but I don't know if it will fit or work inside a transformer installed outdoors.

Anyone else have trouble losing signal from the WeMo once the transformer box is closed?
