Hey Daniel, I have certainly seen many homeowners and professionals alike mount a transformer to vinyl siding. One concern is always the heat of course; fortunately, VOLT transformers run quite cool. However, if this was a legitimate concern of yours, one recommendation would be to use a strut with spring nuts and anchor bolts to mount the transformer. This would allow for some space between the transformer housing and siding to allow for dissipation of any heat.
