I have a rural setting and need very few lights. I am considering
4 deck lights for the entry stairs (VDL-600-BBZ)
And three down lights in trees by the drive
2 Woodsman II downlights -7watts each
1 Allstar Downlight. VAL-1814-40 BBZ with 7watt LED MR16 bulb

I have planned for the transformer to be in the middle of a two hundred foot line. One line will have the deck lights and the Allstar downlight. The other will have the 2 Woodsman lights in a tree. I want a timer on the transformer. Is the 100 watt slimline what I should buy? What else do I need to make this all work. I have the 12 gauge cable.

    Hey KFG,

For what you've mentioned, the 100w slimline would certainly work; the recommended 80% max of this transformer would be 80W. This unit comes capable with a built-in timer/photocell combination as well. Other then hand tools (shovel, trencher, wire strippers/cutters etc.), it sounds like the only other thing you would need is a pack of waterproof wire connectors.
