    Greetings!

I am looking to light up a "pathway" on the side of my house going from the front of the house to the pool in the back. I am looking for some advice / opinion on how to accomplish it.

Here is what the "pathway" looks like.

12 ft wide and 48 ft long that I would like to illuminate.

I have thought about using the following pathway lights.

Hi, Ryan. My first impulse would be to mount a few deck lights or hardscape lights (see links below) to the fence. You’ve got this nice blank white fence you could use if you wanted to avoid placing fixtures at ground level. But as long as you don’t think grass cutting or other lawn maintenance would be problematic, then, low profile fixtures like the ones you’re considering would work great. Bear in mind that the glossy white surface of that fence will reflect a lot of light so, depending on your lamp lumens, you may only need 2-3 fixtures to create enough safety lighting.

    Mesodude2,

Where on the fence would you put the lights at? near the top?

I am thinking on the fence posts as well.

    Thanks!

The deck light and the dojo would probably be best on posts at no higher than waist height (see the deck light product video). The dojo could go higher if you wanted (because the light source is less visible than that of the other fixtures). The hardscape light would probably be best tucked underneath the top backer rail. The lamp holder is rotatable so it should be easy to avoid having the light shining in your eyes.
