    Hi,

I bought a VOLT® (6) G2 Fat Boy Spotlight Kit for the front (4), garage side landscape (1), and back (1 undecided).

    1) I think I need to purchase a light for the roof over my front steps to eliminate a dark spot there?

    2) Any suggestions on placement of the 6 Spotlights would be great!
    3) Any suggestions on additional lighting would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Spencer

    Beautiful home & property!

Some potential recommendations for the front of the home:

The (6) FatBoy's could be placed at the 6 positions on the ground (marked in yellow). For the columns, you'd want to adjust the beam angle on the bulbs to the narrowest setting (20-degree). For the other spots, 60 degree will likely be ideal. Also, when installing the (3) Fat Boys on the right side, you could do one of two things:
    1. Install the spotlights within 12" of the wall to apply a "grazing" design effect to highlight the texture of the brick.

2.Place the spotlights in front of the small shrubs to cast illumination through the shrubs creating a shadowing effect on the walls behind. Either option 1 or 2 would add a unique element to the design.

For the 2nd story, you could consider purchasing gutter mount kits and mini LED spotlights to add some illumination up there to keep the design balanced.

You could also consider highlighting the small trees in the garden bed with mini spotlights as well (marked in red); but this may depend on your budget and the level of illumination you're looking for overall.

Any of our classic LED path lights would look beautiful along the pathway (marked in blue); the ideal spacing would be determined by the shade style you chose (spacing recommendations listed on the product pages).

For the pergola in the backyard, you could consider lights such as the LED sconce light, or LED hanging lights.

LED hardscape lights could be ideal for highlighting the retainer wall as well.
