I am going to replace some lighting fixtures that are beat up - approximately 15 years old. I'm wondering the best way to connect the new fixtures to the cable. See images for the current connections with the old fixtures (first image for uplight, second for path light). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Greg. For all my buried connections I use the heat shrink Ace connectors you’ll find on the page linked below. This should provide a robust, water resistant connection. https://www.voltlighting.com/landscape-lighting-accessories-wire-connectors-hubs/c/37

You’re welcome. I thought that’s what they were. I’m using hubs and so I’ve only ever used the connectors to add length to the lead wires of my fixtures.

That's correct - any one of the connectors in that link Meso shared can be used to redo that connection you showed. They all offer unique benefits and different price points - the ace connector is definitely a good choice if you wanted to make another connection for life. If you wanted to maybe upgrade this connection spot to make your planned expansion/improvements easier and also make troubleshooting in the future easier, you may consider something like one of the hubs Meso mentioned - all at the top of that same page.
