Any hints or suggestions on getting that 1/2" KO out of the side of the transformer housing without busting out the 3/4" ring as well? Seems nearly impossible.
    Thanks.

    Hi Joe,

Sorry for the knockouts. Some of them are hard to push out. Best technique we've found is to use a flat head screwdriver and push it into the knockout (approach from the inset side). Insert the blade halfway between attachment points. If possible, push (or use a hammer) and twist the screwdriver to get the flat part bent so you have enough opening to use needle pliers to grasp the flat metal. Once you have a good grasp, pull and twist the metal back and forth to fatigue the attachment points until they come loose.

By the way, our next generation transformer - the Slim Line - does not use stainless knockouts. The only knockouts on the unit are a special nylon universal bushing that can be used without conduit, or (for conduit) can be very easily pushed out.

the aluminum housing metal too thin and KO's pierced with dull machine tools. best way is to remove, is use a step drill bit and drill out, it clean and fast.... and fast is what you want.
