Hey Lucia, I'd be happy to help with some recommendations! Path Lights would be the most ideal fixtures to illuminate a path way while minimizing visible glare. How far to space them (the number needed for the path) would depend mostly on the style of hat you chose; this determines the diameter of the light spread. Our Max Spread Path Light for example - for continuous illumination along a path, you'd space these fixtures about 16 feet apart. For independent pools of light, you'd space about 20 feet apart. (Marked in yellow) For the path light bulbs, 2W LED BiPin bulbs would likely be most ideal for the subtle illumination you desire. Any of VOLT®'s Classic Path Lights would look beautiful. As far as installation goes, path lights would certainly be the more convenient route and provide beautiful, functional illumination. If your concern was about the visibility of the fixtures themselves and not glare, you could consider beacon style in-ground lights - but these would require a bit more labor to install and not provide as much area light on and around the path way. I know you only asked about lighting for the pathway, but I took the liberty to mark some additional spots where you could also consider uplighting around the home. Spotlights for the trees could look beautiful (marked in blue). Highlighting the facade from that garden bed could add an extra dimension to your lighting design (marked in green). And, using some scone style lights on the columns could provide ideal upwards and downwards illumination for the area (Marked in yellow).
