I am looking for some feedback and/or recommendations for uplighting the front of our home. I am looking at using the G2 Fatboys spot lights. For the flagpole I was thinking three 3000K/15 degree beam LED's to cover all possible wind angles of the flags so they stay lit all night. For the front of the home I was thinking five 2700K/38 degree beam LED's. For the pillars I was thinking two 2700K/15 degree beam LED's and then one 2700K/38 degree beam for the ornamental tree. I was thinking the 5W bulbs for all of these but wondering if they would be too bright or not bright enough for each of those locations. Should I go with stronger wattage at different locations? Should I stick with all of the same temp bulbs and just go with 2700K for the flagpole instead of 3000K? Any feedback and/or advice would be great for this novice DIYer trying to upscale the look of the front of our home at night. I am open to any advice on positioning of these lights also. Too many, not enough?
I think your plan is excellent. The beam spreads you have in mind should work great. Please see the link below for a guide to flag lighting. I think the 3000K will make the flag colors look crisper and cleaner but I think using all 2700K light would look great also. Because your brick and siding are light, I personally wouldn't go with anything brighter than a 3W lamp for those. If you have low or very low ambient lighting and you want to still be able to enjoy the night sky, I'd recommend 2W for the house lights. Hope this helps. https://www.voltlighting.com/articl...triotic-landscape/p/article-lighting-the-flag
