...or so my wife tells me. Image attached.

I'd say trunk is 7 feet tall. Overall height is maybe 15 ft. Breadth is maybe 15 ft as well. Want if illuminated from tree side and left and right. How many spots? I'm thinking T3 TopDogs at 60 degree, 7w, and 450 lumens each as tree should grow. But I am very open to expert suggestions.

Also have two youngish Buttonwoods (not shown) that are maybe 18-20 feet tall, but the breadth of maturity is not yet there - maybe 8-10 ft now. Was thinking for each a single TopDog at 60 degree, 7w, and 450 lumens.

    Thanks,

    Pete

    Hey Pete,

I believe you're on the correct path - at least 3 spotlights around the base would be ideal for illuminating the palm tree from all major viewing angles. Given the width of the canopy currently, 60 degree or 110 could both be ideal - as the tree grows taller though, the 60-degrees may actually be more ideal for keeping the illumination focused on the canopy as it continues to move upwards and away (potentially even 38-degree one day down the road). We do offer an Adjustable Beam Angle LED MR16 Bulb which could making adjusting for the growth very simple.

Bulb wattage is always largely preferential based on the level of illumination you desire - 3W or 5W could look beautiful currently, but as you pointed out the tree growth, 5-7W would likely be more ideal as the tree grows exponentially considering these Canary Palms can grow to a height of 60ft with a spread of 40ft.

    (1) Spotlight on the Buttonwood sounds ideal for the current size. Considering growth, potentially adding additional spotlight in the future might help keep the illumination balanced.
