I have one fixture that I was trying to connect directly to the transformer. I purchased pre-wired fixtures that have a 25' lead wire. I need approx. 5-7 more feet to connect this fixture to the transformer. I have plenty of wire so I was just going to replace the 25' lead with a 32' lead. I see there are a couple of Phillips screws and a couple of hex nuts but I wasn't sure if you could disassemble this and if you can, what kind of wrench do I need to be able to get down into the base of this fixture. Thanks!
Hi, John. You'll want to splice the additional length of wire you need onto the end of the existing wire. The way that's worked best for me is to use an ACE connector (they come two per pack, which is all you'll need). It's an easy DIY task. If you don't want to do any splicing, you could always power your fixtures using a hub connected to your transformer. There aren't any user serviceable parts inside of the fixture. If you tamper with those screws, you'll likely void your warranty. HTH
