My 150 watt transformer suddenly tripped. I narrowed it down to a specific spot light that was causing the trip and removed it from the system. I can find no damage to this spots wire, bulb , etc. But if I reattach it I trip the transformer breaker. In has worked for years as presently configured. Any ideas other than replacing the spot.
    Thanks

With all due respect, I'm not sure that simply because your lights "worked" for some time (even for years) necessarily means that they were wired properly initially. Some time ago, I responded to a poster here who'd submitted a photo of his mis-wired transformer. Like you, he assumed everything was fine with his system (until it wasn't) because it had been functioning properly for several months. Having said that, it would be helpful to know more about your system overall. How are your fixtures configured (daisy chain, T, etc)? Are you using hubs? What is the combined wattage of your lights? In my experience, locating minor damage that could be causing a breaker to trip can be somewhat challenging, especially if one doesn't know exactly what to look for. If you're positive there's no damage to the fixture wiring, the bulb, the fixture socket, etc, swapping in another fixture might be the only way to determine what the issue is.
