Brass lighting ruined by weather, patina etc!

I wanted to share a so called hack that has worked well for my wife and I. Our brass walkway lighting looked awful after being in the elements for only one year. A few bucks for a can of spray paint and I honestly think they look better than new. No surface prep other than a simple cleaning.
