First, my camera enhanced the night photo because it looks darker than that. In the night photo, we have left and right side up-lights (nothing special, left-overs) connected to our landscape lighting system (12v) and sitting on the ground under the arbor. Consider that the arbor is never seen from the back side at night, so the side in the pictures is what matters.

In the last photo, you can see that we have mushroom 2 shaped path lights about 18" in front of the arbor. We were thinking of replacing those with up-lights aimed up the arbor and installing a centered down-light to highlight the gate and light the path. There is an electrical outlet next to the arbor (white post) so all solutions should be available to us.

I really love my arbor and I waited a long time to get it, so I'd really like to get the lighting right.
    thanks for your help,

    Beautiful layout!

Overall, I think you're on a great path idea wise.

For the hanging light on the arbor, the VOLT® Tranquility Brass Hanging Light would be ideal to consider. (We also have another mini hanging light that we should be re-adding to the website soon hopefully.)

As far as replacing the 2 path lights nearest the arbor, you could consider the VOLT® Mini All-Star™ Twinnovator Brass Path & Area Light - the dual head design would allow you to direct illumination on the arbor and on the surrounding pathway simultaneously.
