I have both 4x4 posts as well as a couple 6x6 posts (where the gates are along the fence) and i'm looking for ideas on how to mount the post lights on the 6x6s? Anyone done this or have any suggestions?

Looking at the pictures online it looks like it would sit right on top of the post without any issues but there would be a portion of the post that isn't covered by the lamp base. Just trying to plan ahead before adding the lights

    Hey there,

With the design of the Guardsman, you can remove the cage from the base using a screwdriver and use the pre-drilled screw holes to essentially mount to any surface. Because the light is specified for a 4x4, you may notice some downward light being blocked by the lip of the larger 6x6 post (this would essentially just translate to more light being cast outward). The lead wire exits from the rear side for a convenient flush mount.
