   How do the lamp ready fixtures distinguish the positive lead and negative lead for DC series wiring?

   Hello Ralph,
   
   With our lamp-ready fixture sockets, there is no polarity. As all of our fixtures are designed to be used with low-voltage AC, this is not something that we test. If trying to wire for DC, an ohmmeter/multimeter would be needed to test this safely. Altering a socket for DC will also void the lifetime warranty of the product.
