Are there others who'd like to see Volt make single optic lenses for G5 Infiniti RGB color lights?

  1. Yes, this would expand the capabilities of the light

  2. No, it doesn't matter to me in my applications

Just learned today that Volt does not make 17 and 24 degree single source optic lenses for this fixture.

This is a real bummer and seems like a hole in the product optionality.

I am lighting some magnificent date palms that are roughly 25-30' in height.

The G5 is the only RGB color light Volt makes that has the oomph in lumens to accomplish this task. But the stock optic lens is underwhelming in terms of uplighting the crowns of the trees.

Would be great if Volt could consider this limitation and produce these lenses. It would broadly expand the capabilities of this fixture for this type of application.

    Thanks,
    JP

It’s a bit more firepower than I could use right now. Did you happen to talk to anyone at VOLT about why only those two options are available? There might be practical reasons they don’t offer more options. My theory is that at its price point (I think it’s their most expensive spotlight fixture but don’t quote me), the lenses could be more expensive to make. I could also see them being hesitant to immediately go all in on a pricey fixture that might not catch on. Given how feature rich this product is, I wouldn’t be surprised if they come out with an improved version or a comparable version that suits your needs. Btw, if I had a wish list for products, I’d ask them to bring back the dual circuit transformer and the hub integrated fixtures. I think it might take a while for products like those to catch on because newbies (like I was) don’t always immediately understand the importance and value of certain features.
