I just noticed this morning for the first time that my lights had turned on again after timing out at 6 hours. They are set to turn on at dark and turn off in 6 hours. Im curious why this has happened, they have been working fine up to now. Thanks!

What’s the total wattage load on your transformer, John? Are you plugged into a GFCI and are you confident that all your wiring connections at the transformer and at your fixtures are correct and secure? If this only occurs at night, it sounds like some fault is causing the transformer’s circuit breaker to trip and then the lights are coming on after the transformer resets itself. If you’re confident that the transformer and fixtures are wired correctly and that the transformer isn’t overloaded, it’s conceivable there’s a fault in the transformer itself. I believe this is rare but I highly recommend that you contact VOLT customer service for further troubleshooting advice and a possible return (if it’s determined that the fault is with the transformer). Thanks, it seemed to be fine until just last night, so I don’t think it’s overloaded only around 50 watts total load. I believe all the connections are secure as I haven’t changed anything before this happened and it is on a GFCI circuit. I’ll keep an eye on it for now and see if it happens again.
I do recommend you contact VOLT directly. They may have troubleshooting approaches that I haven’t thought of.
Hey, John. Since I was curious about the solution myself, I spoke with a VOLT customer service rep this afternoon and was told that because your lights are coming on and the transformer is receiving power, it's unlikely that either incorrect wiring or a faulty transformer are causing the issue. He thinks it's possible that you have a faulty timer/photocell combo and you might need to replace it. HTH
