Looking at getting path lights for landscape around pool - attached picture outlines the lights around pool. Was looking at getting Mini Flat Hat path lights for highlighting the area. Our lake is behind the landscape areas and don't want to bright of light. Question is - Will the 6 ft. spread be too little of a spread? I have 2 uplights for the tree (in red) and scones for the front of the Cabana. Thanks.

    Hey Kirbs,

Using the mini path light stem would definitely be ideal for keeping the light source(s) low and minimizing glare seen from the lake.

As far as if the spread is too small, this would largely be dependent on the spacing between each fixture. With a 6 foot light spread - if you wanted continuous illumination along a path or garden bed, you'd space the fixtures about 6 feet apart. For independent pools of light, you'd space about 8.5 feet apart (or even slightly further depending on the project space).

I personally prefer more subtle lighting and prefer a pools of light approach - roughly judging from the schematic you included, I think the placement would be ideal for just that. Hard to confirm without some dimensions listed for reference, but overall I believe you have a great plan in place.
