Hello all and hoping someone can help me. I purchased from Costco the 9 pc landscape lighting set and have 6 of the “flood” type lights that I want to put on a riser but the volt risers do not fit the Costco volt lighting system for some unknown reason. Has anyone done this successfully and if so how

Hi, JP. It’s possible they aren’t compatible. What do you mean by “do not fit”? The male and female post thread diameters are different?

Mesodude2 thanks for the reply. They do not fit the riser for the light from volt directly is wider and has post threads in it where the light fixture from costco although its volt is smaller and does not have any threading on it making it virtually impossible to "stay in place" i even tried some "O" Rings and some plastic rubber washers but that didnt work either. Cant believe that Volt would selling a lighting package with their name on it through costco and not have a riser available for their product it makes NO SENSE at all.

Hi JP1269. Now I think I get it. It sounds as if the base of the stem on the Costco kit fixture is unthreaded and the direct-from-VOLT riser has a threaded female top. Right? I think of that kit almost like I view different car makes and models made by the same company. IOW, the kit is like its own stand alone product. But I hear your frustration. If I were you, I’d give VOLT CS a call and ask them if they have any suggestions for a workaround. They’ve always been helpful when I’ve called. Meantime, you might also look around online to see if there are unthreaded risers or “universal” risers that might work with your fixture. With unthreaded risers, connections are sometimes made using thumbscrews. You might also have to do some painting for a more seamless look. HTH

The products we have listed on COSTCO are exclusive to COSTCO. This line does offer great value & convenience but, you definitely receive more customization and flexibility with value to boot when purchasing directly from us.

As far as altering our products, we always advise against this whether bought from us or COSTCO - this could potentially void warranties.

Regardless of where someone has purchased one of our systems from, we still pride ourselves on providing great customer support which is why we have recognized the recent growing interest in an expanded COSTCO assortment. It is something we are indeed looking into with COSTCO and we definitely appreciate your patience!
