Putting in large layout around pool - and wanted to add some lights around a trampoline and playset. Considering adding a well light under the trampoline in the center and maybe some floods mounted in a nearby tree. Has anyone done something with a well light under the trampoline?

Never heard of that but as long as there’s no potential for injury or damage to the fixture, this would be an unremarkable installation. If there’s multiple people using the trampoline at once, I might worry that a bright light shining up from below could be a bit disorienting.

I would agree with Mesodude's point about the light potentially being somewhat blinding from below. Or, the opposite depending on the material of the canvas - a majority of the illumination possibly being reflected back to the ground.

Illuminating from above would likely be ideal. As cool as a downlight or compact spotlight would look mounted directly on 1-2 of the trampoline poles, I certainly wouldn't recommend it. Illuminating from a distant tree or structure with a floodlight as you already mentioned is more than likely your best bet for both functionality and safety.
