I am currently using the digital timer for my transformer and I'm looking at a way to control my lighting through my WIFI network. Does anyone have some success on this front. I have considered using a smart plug either in the transformer or in the electrical box both have some drawbacks. Please advise.

    Hey there,

Great question! We have indeed seen many homeowners retrofit the socket in their transformer or the socket the transformer is directly plugged into for a 'smart' control option. I could not say for certain what brands were used but, as long as the timer is rated to handle the electrical load and can fit into the housing properly (allowing the door to shut completely), it can certainly be done. I would say that finding a smart plug which fits in the transformer housing would be the most convenient route.
