I recently purchased a new lighting system from Volt, which came with a 150-watt transformer and a photocell/timer combo. At first, I set the timer to turn off 4 hours after dusk, and everything worked as expected. However, now the lights no longer turn on with any of the timer settings. They only turn on if I manually set the timer to "On."

Does the blue pilot light (indicating the timer is receiving power come on)?I don’t know why it would suddenly stop working but it sounds like there could be a photocell issue. Is it possible the transformer is being exposed to light after dusk? That’s one thing that could prevent the lights from turning on. Have you tried covering the photocell with something like a piece of black electrical tape for a minute or so? To get quicker troubleshooting guidance, it might be a good idea to contact VOLT customer service and have them talk you through troubleshooting steps. HTH
