Hi, Before trying to figure out all the wiring/lighting plans, I am wondering what my options are for lighting the wall hardscape. The wall lights seem to need a capstone which I don't have. Would I need to saw/drill through the stone? Would the spacing have to be symmetrical to not look stupid? I was thinking up lighting on the lower wall and top lighting on the upper wall.
Beautiful backyard! Yes, this would be much easier if there was a capstone since you could then use hardscape lights. Alternative: For the lower wall, you could use in-ground lights or path lights. Path lights might be better as you can also illuminate the walkway in the foreground. Maybe space them so that there are lights evenly spaced off of either side of the lower steps then space evenly in either direction from the steps. For the upper wall, you could put in-ground lights in the sod, or since the strip of sod looks very narrow, you might just put path lights in the bed in the background. There, you might do the same as the lower wall... evenly space the pathlights off of either side of the upper steps, then work outwards with even spacing. Personally, I'd go with more subtle (lower wattage) bulbs, as you'll be sitting nearby at what appears to be a fire pit/cauldron in the middle.
Thanks Dirk! I was thinking about using the G2 rotatable lights with glare guard and grinding off the backside of the brace to leave essential 4 "post/spikes". Then drill 4 holes and apply some poxy in the hole to secure it. Even if I just got an inch or so deep per hole I think it would hold. https://www.voltlighting.com/g2-rot...MIhfqLu8u59wIVLgb5AB32TAqjEAEYASADEgIpe_D_BwE
