Can I use Volt LED fixtures with a 12 volt DC Transformer? They seem to be working just fine... or am I actually causing damage?

Is this for low voltage exterior lighting? That's what it's supposed to run on.

Allow me to clear the air!

The answer to this question will be dependent on which fixtures you are currently using.

For our integrated fixtures, a transformer with a magnetic core and an output of AC must be used. For our lamp-ready fixtures, the housings are designed to function properly whether receiving DC or AC power. It is when using specifically our LED bulbs or integrated fixtures that the transformer must have a magnetic core with an AC output.

How do the lamp ready fixtures distinguish the positive lead and negative lead for DC series wiring?
