Our lighting has been great for the last 2 years. I noticed a couple of days ago that 4 spots on separate lines are lit but very dim. Is this an indication of a short or the bulb? Other lights on the same string are operating normally. Any help is appreciated.

With the system having been previously working as expected for 2 years, it is likely not related to a wire connection or voltage issue - but this is always potentially worth checking. If you have a voltmeter handy, I'd check the spots where the fixtures in question are located.

If these are receiving the proper input voltage ranges recommended for the fixtures (usually about 12-15V), then it is likely related to the LEDs (integrated or bulb).

If the 4 fixtures use bulbs, double check that the bulbs are still secured properly in the light housings (sometimes fixtures can get hit and unseat a bulb). The next thing to do would be to test a bulb from a working fixture to help verify if the issue is related to the bulb(s) in the 4 fixtures.

If the bulbs are ultimately the reason the light outputs are dim, under the lifetime warranty for our LED bulbs we can get these replaced. Just give our expert team a call directly with your order # or account e-mail handy: (813) 978-3700
