Hello. Was wondering how exactly the R7S dims. Currently I have two facing forward and try to point it all the way down. They are the lights in the stone wall. I also feel the lights are too bright all around. Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.

Is the glare guard the metal strip inside the light? It’s curved? I am using 5w on uplights and 3 watt on path lights.

The glare guard and lamp cover are one unit. Just remove the two screws on the front, rotate the lamp inside until you’re satisfied with the brightness level and then re-attach the glare guard. Note, the lamp itself does not dim. You’re just “dimming” by tilting the light source away from the frosted glass lens.

Do you know if the intent of this rotation was 360 degrees? It seems like I’m limited in how far I can rotate it within the enclosure.

My guess is that it’s meant to rotate up to 180 degrees (the opposite of facing forward). The bulbs are not cheap so you may want to confirm the range of motion with customer service.
