Need some ideas/reccomendations

    Lighting the columns is the easy part. Where I'm struggling is how to wash the upper portion effectively, preferably from the ground. The upper space is unoccupied so light intrusion isn't an issue.

    Beautiful home, jm1495. If I were you, I'd light the columns and see what effect is created with those lights (and maybe a path light or two) alone. I think a 2W or 3W 38° spot light at the base of each column could very well create enough "fill" light to illuminate that upper section effectively.
