I am looking to add my back yard to my system but don’t want it on all the time so is it possible to turn a zone on & off?

I'm about to embark on installing my system and have a similar need; I was thinking of something like this DC switch with WiFi to sit in between the transformer lines and each "zone".

We do offer a dual circuit transformer which allows for (2) 300W zones with individual control capabilities - https://www.voltlighting.com/600w-dual-circuit-transformer

Other than this, you could use separate transformers for individual zone control, or use a low-voltage relay switch as trmack mentioned.
