Hello, I purchased 10 fixtures that I am going to install on the outside of my fence. My plan was as follows: 1. Run the MAIN LINE all along the fence until I get to the last fixture location. 2. Connect the last fixture making sure the two wires (fixture & end of main)are on one connection and the other two are on the other. 3. Go to the next fixture, cut the MAIN LINE and make sure the three wires (fixture, main from transformer, main from previous fixture) are on one connection and the other three are on the other. 4. I will continue this process until I reach my last fixture. 5. Connect to the transformer and we have lights! Do these connections sound correct? The fixture are 30-40 feet apart. Thank you
Yes, this process sounds correct. Essentially, you are tapping into the main line at each fixture location - cutting one leg of the main and connecting the two cut ends to one of the fixture lead wires - then repeating the process with the other main leg.
